Woof, have I got a lot to accomplish in 7 weeks!
I thought of doing this 3 days ago now and posted a semi-warmly received post on r/gencon and a poorly received post on the GenCon forum. But my husband thinks it's a good idea - or at least a fun project - so here I am, posting on a shitty Weebly blog.
This. Convention. Center. Is. HUGE.
But I love Gen Con so much, and I know it could be SO COOL when (if?) it's finished.
I would love for the server to support:
I've started jotting down some thoughts as far as a project plan for the convention center itself:
Once that's done, I can move on to building up the surrounding areas - probably without finished interiors because I do have a day job.
In the meantime I also need to set up the server for visitors - anti-griefing, chat controls, etc. - I last ran a server back in 2014 so this will be SUPER interesting.
